CLEER 24-Port Coax Managed Switch
What are these solutions?
The NVT Phybridge CLEER is a Layer 2+ Ethernet data switch that provides a complete parallel IP network over existing coaxial cabling. The solution allows for a non-disruptive, quick and easy way to deploy IP devices. The NVT Phybridge CLEER comes in a 24 port model. It is necessary to have one EClink Adapter or EC4 for every active port on the NVT Phybridge CLEER.
Where can I buy the NVT Phybridge CLEER solution?
NVT Phybridge solutions are available through our Distribution Partners. Our list of distributors is constantly growing, please contact us directly for a list of distributors.
What is the competition?
NVT Phybridge is the only company to competitively offer robust solutions that leverage existing infrastructure to provide POE and Ethernet to an endpoint at distance of 2000 feet or greater.
How does the NVT Phybridge CLEER work with VLANs?
VLANs are not required when deploying the CLEER. The CLEER and EClink Adapters act essentially like a “physical” VLAN, this is done by isolating the IP voice traffic to the parallel voice network provided by the CLEER system. The CLEER has a default configuration of VLAN 1 with all untagged configuration. This will pass all untagged VLAN traffic or remove the tag from VLAN 1 for data to and from the CLEER and EClink Adapter. If you need to configure your IP phones to work with any fixed VLANs (because you may already be using VLANs on your corporate data network), then you will need to configure the CLEER to handle this VLAN traffic.
What is the service and support?

Who has tested the NVT Phybridge CLEER?
Multiple manufacturers, VARs and vendors have tested the NVT Phybridge CLEER. Please contact us directly for a list of partners.
Do these products support all major IP Camera manufacturers?
Yes. Any IP camera device is supported as the NVT Phybridge CLEER is configured as a layer 2+ switch.
Does the NVT Phybridge CLEER support fiber interfaces?
The CLEER will work with both Multi Mode Fiber (MMF) and Single Mode Fiber (SMF), the limitation is in the GBIC module (rate).
How is QoS handled?
Because of the point to point topology of the EClink Adapter to the NVT Phybridge CLEER, customized QoS configuration is not normally required. In most instances network configuration is not required but if required QOS can be setup on the switch, please see technical training and manuals for information.
What is the maximum PoE Class IP device/phone that can be supported?
Based on the IEEE 802.3af/at standard.
What IP devices are supported?
All IEEE 802.3af/at compliant IP devices are supported.
