EC10 SWITCH POR COAXIAL NO ADMINISTRADO

NVT Phybridge EC 10 Port Unmanaged POE Switches

FAQ

Where can I buy the Phybridge EC solution?

Phybridge solutions are available through our Distribution Partners. Our list of distributors is constantly growing, please contact us directly for a list of distributors.

What are these solutions?

The Phybridge EC is a Layer 2 Ethernet data switch that provides a complete parallel voice network over existing coaxial cabling. The solution allows for a non-disruptive, quick and easy way to deploy IP camera’s and Unified Communications (UC) applications. The Phybridge EC comes in 8 port models. The Phybridge ECLink Adapters are common to both models. It is necessary to have one ECLink Adapter for every active port on the Phybridge EC.

What is the warranty?

5 Years Silver Maintenance, which includes replacement warranty is standard. Gold and Silver Maintenance levels are also available at additional cost at time of purchase.

What is the service and support?

12 month Silver Maintenance, which includes support is standard. Gold and Silver Maintenance levels are also available at additional cost at time of purchase.

What is the competition?

Phybridge is the only company to competitively offer robust solutions that leverage existing infrastructure to provide POE and Ethernet to an endpoint at distance of 2000 feet or greater.

Do these products support all major VoIP manufacturers?

Yes. Any IP PBX device is supported as the Phybridge EC is an unmanaged networking switch.

Who has tested the Phybridge EC?

Multiple manufacturers, VARs and vendors have tested the Phybridge EC. Please contact us directly for a list of partners.

How is QoS handled?

Because of the point to point topology of the ECLink Adapter to the Phybridge EC, customized QoS configuration is not required.

What is the maximum PoE Class IP device/camera that can be supported?

Based on the IEEE 802.3af or 803.2at standard, operational testing is required to determine if the Class 3 IP device you have will work in your unique network topology (the longer the two wire length, the less power is available to the IP device.) First, please verify the manufacturer’s IP device power consumption specification, if it is less than 10.6 W then you may be able to use a standard EClink Adapter, you will need to test your IP device in the final network topology to ensure the line power draw and IP device power draw does not exceed the 10.6 W. A quick test is to plug the IP device into the EClink Adapter and put the IP device into maximum power consumption. For an IP phone this is usually the ringing state (maximize the ring volume), if the phone does not restart or shut down then your IP device and line load is drawing less power than the 10.6 W maximum. The EC limits the current drawn on the RJ45 PoE port. If the power draw of the IP phone (device) and line length exceeds the power that can be provided by the EClink for the IP phone, then it may not power up or will reset during operation. If the problem persists re-test the same IP phone at a shorter cable length to verify that problem is related to the IP camera drawing more than the maximum rated at the desired line length.

What IP cameras are supported?

Any IEEE 802.3af  or 803.2at compliant IP devices are supported.
