Ron Little Brings Innovation to Digital Transformation Projects, Recognized as an IoT Pioneer

Congratulations to Ron Little, Owner of Coastal Integrated Services, for helping the largest gas station chain in the United States complete its digital transformation projects without high costs, complexity, or disruption! This is no ordinary gas station, as they have the largest convenience store (over 66,000 square feet) and the longest car wash (255 feet long) in the world.

With over 39 locations, this customer wanted to deploy IP cameras at several of its gas stations but could not rip and replace the existing network infrastructure due to high costs and disruption to the business. Ron Little suggested using the NVT Phybridge CLEER24 EoC managed switch to support the new IP cameras using the existing Coax-based infrastructure. The customer completed a no-obligation proof-of-concept and was satisfied with the cost-effective and high-performing solution that leveraged the existing infrastructure to reduce the overall project cost.

When it came time for the customer to upgrade its outside payment terminals to meet the EMV compliance requirements, project partners struggled to deliver a reliable connection to the forecourt’s POS terminals. Having worked with our products before, Ron Little suggested using the NVT Phybridge PoLRE switch and helped organize another onsite trial.

After just a few simple setup steps, the NVT Phybridge PoLRE switch delivered Ethernet and PoE over a single pair of UTP wire with up to 1,200ft (365m) reach, which is four times farther than standard switches. The PoLRE switch allowed the customer to use its existing and reliable infrastructure once again to support IP-enabled devices.
